Well I pulled the trigger on a "fisheye" lens yesterday (mail order).
It should arrive Friday, in time for the "View through my window" shoot on Saturday.
It's a 10.5 mm DSLR lens with a 180 degree view area.
Reviewers say to watch out for your feet.

[:D] I'd love to see the first results of this nifty thing!
Tip: Some cool extreme close-ups of cows, sheep, dog-noses etc. [;)]

I never liked the FishEye method, I do prefer the normal

Here is a 15mm Fish Eye vs 14mm Normal

Fisheye and Ultra-wide-angle are two completely different things.
With the fisheye you *want* a distorted image, with the UWA you want an extreme wide angle with as little distortion as possible.
My experience with fisheyes is that they make me sick....really. My stomach turns when I see the bend lines and strange perspectives.

I'm using the Pentax 12-24 and it's distortion is minimal. I *LOVE* it!

Well hang on to your stomach Marcel.
To emphasize the dangle of the angle, I also ordered this to go with the wide angle lens:

It kind of makes me sick just thinking about it.
