Paramedics were called to Michael Jacksons home in LA last night after the singer stopped breathing, he was pronounced dead two hours later at the UCLA medical centre.

Jackson has lived in the media spotlight since he was 11 and hasn't been short of controversy, beit for nose jobs or allegations of child abuse.

The 'King of Pop' was due to go on a world tour - including a fifty night stint at Londons O2 Arena, while the face value of tickets will have to be refunded to the purchasers, many would-be concert goers had already secured their tickets on eBay and elsewhere - many going for in excess of £10,000.

too bad he died after 10 years of schandals and rumours, hope he will be remembered as the king of pop, and not as some kind of freak.

Well...he sure put some effort into being a freak, so it wouldn't be fair to him to remember him as if he was a normal person....

He was born as a normal person.
Living in a grown up world after the age of 6 just makes you a freak. For me his career ended after the Thriller album.
After that you only heard ooh aah inhis songs.
People who say he was a great dancer just dont know what dancing is. He kept doing the same steps all the time in my opinion, havent seen much creativity i his dancing.

Just my opinion. I feel sorry for the guy. I dont see hin as a king of whatever

mild update: in an attempt to avoid paying out for the tickets AEG initially said 'people could keep them as souvenirs if they didn't claim back', for some strange reason taht didn't work so they're now trying to convince the family to fill in on 'tribute shows' lol funny that, AEG not wanting to go bust!
